demarcated clean area

We have isolator (CAI) hood and "clean area" marked on our floor to include the sink. Our facility needs to upgrade hazardous exposure equipment with new eye wash station and shower. They would like to have it at the sink within our clean area.

Question: Can we move the line of demarcation or is it a requirement that sink be within the clean area? We are assuming that adding shower to clean area is not recommended?

Re: demarcated clean area

I would imagine that since you should scrub after putting on your shoe covers, which you put on just as you are crossing onto the clean side of the LOD (covering one shoe at a time and placing the covered foot on the clean side), the sink must be on the clean side also. As to a full decontamination shower...I really don't know. It is an interesting question. I'm curious to see what more knowledgeable people than me have to say about it.

Re: demarcated clean area

We don't have a clean room since we only use isolators. We only wear gown and gloves, no shoe covers are required.
