Assuming the compounding personnel has natural nails, is there any restrictions to nail length in the IV room.

Currently, USP Chapter 797 says: The wearing of artificial nails or extenders is prohibited while working in the sterile compounding environment. Natural nails shall be kept neat and trimmed.  Historically, TJC and CDC has defined neat and trimmed as 1/4"  or less as an infection control measure.
