This question came up from a client recently, and I noticed that it wasn't already out here on the community. Is it required per USP 797 that sterile gloves be used for compounding or is it enough to use non-sterile gloves and disinfect with 70% IPA prior to compounding?
Do various State Board's of Pharmacy have a position on this?

USP 797 requires the use of sterile gloves that are routinely disinfected with sterile 70% alcohol or other sterile disinfectant like Accel TB (accelerated hydrogen peroxide). If you visit http://www.usp.org/audiences/pharmacist/797FAQs you will find lots of answers to common questions.
