Here is a question from our live presentation:
Q: We currently only have enough staff to have one pharmacist and no techs working overnight. How do you suggest providing enough extra doses so the pharmacist does not spend too much time in the IV room while at the same time preventing waste?

In response to your question, I would suggest doing some data analysis to determine what types of compounded medications are being ordered on the night shift. If you can identify common drugs, you might be able to pre-mix some medications ahead of time but depending on the # of doses that are needed during the night shift, you may either need to have waste or hire a technician that can help handle the volume of compounding is needed.
