We are currently in the process of cutting down on our ordering of outsourced pre-mixed phenylephrine 20 mg in NS250 ml and are now batching a certain supply daily.

We have been given phenylephrine 20 mg in NS 250 ml a 24 hour expiration at room temperature. To the best of my knowledge, this stability info came from Trissel's and the medium risk compounding BUD.

I understand that this is a medium risk compound with transfers from multiple vials (50 mg in 5 ml) and gives the compound a 30 hour expiration date at controlled room temperature.

However, can we also give the compound a 7 day expiration in the refrigerator? Recent stability studies from C. Trissel and Zhang gave this compound a 120 day expiration in the refrigerator.

Please, can anyone let me know what  kind of BUD they give to this compound?

Thanks,

cash advance
