Here are questions from our live presentation:
Q: Can you explain what a SIR is?
Q: SIRs calculated by 6 months: Does this mean that the first report where SIRs are calculated for us will be after June 2011?
Q: The SIR for CBGB does not include secondary site infections of legs. Is there a way to get a SIR for secondary site infections?
Q: Has CMS clarified the Surgical Procedures that will qualify for reduced payment if an SSI develops?
Q: How do I obtain copy of Appendix D which listed all the risk variables for each procedure (this tells me that age may play a factor in one surgery, whereas for another it is Diabetes, etc)? I can't find the document in NHSN resource library.
