To my knowledge prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women can be done by taking Raloxifene. it is also used to reduce the risk of invasive breast cancer in postmenopausal woman who have osteoporosis or who are at risk of invasive breast cancer.
I thought of sharing this info for the patients suffering with this health problem. any how before taking any medicine consult ur doctor.

Interesting, the drug mimics the effects of the hormone estrogen, there has been a link to blood clots with this medication.

Yup! It falls in a category of drugs called SERMs, usually the first line therepies are plain old calcium and vitamin D, and then if needed, escalation to bisphosphonates. SERMs usually fall in line after that, depending on the clinical situation
